Random notifications?

Is anyone else getting random notifications from accounts you don’t follow on TikTok? For me it’s mainly news accounts and it’ll say “following” next to their name, but I’m not following them, nor do I have any post notifications turned on. It’s getting really annoying, especially at work because my AirPods will read the notifications to me while I’m trying to listen to music and work. Anyone know how to turn this off?
