Hilarious how common the "yell justifications at the unconscious body"-response is among defenders in these situations.

You're good bro, we all knew he had it comin' and we don't blame you for your response.

Picking a fight with your hands in your pockets is definitely a choice.

Sure, great. If the loudmouth who gets knocked out lands the wrong way, all of a sudden it's manslaughter.

We need strong laws in place that any video showing this level of provocation means any charges for a reasonable response are automatically dismissed. The guy was touching him and trying to escalate and there is every reason to see this as a potential threat. The second hit was sloppy and clearly a reaction to the threat stepping forward after the first hit didnt deter him.

There was no kick after down or other reasons to even consider that the person defending themselves went too far. And in such a situation I would still say not guilty if an amped up victim ended up kicking the threat once he was down as adrenaline is a factor as is fight or flight instincts.

The dude on the ground wanted a fight that he wasn't prepared for and no rational person who has lived a reasonably normal life and hasn't been sheltered to the point of living in theoretical fantasy sees him as the victim here.

Should it have ended another way or something? This seems fine.
