Question about tiktok etiquette

I did a stitch video just a few seconds with additional content on top for a business page. The original owner went ballistic because I didn't ask for permission....I didn't know I had to. The video was in support of their messaging and aligned. It was for a business page but was for awareness not promotion and no paid ads or anything their was nothing to be gained. They were upset they werent asked and they demanded compensation...I have stitched many videos and never had this issue. Did I do something wrong?

You did nothing wrong. I believe tiktok creators can actually toggle this setting on and off just before posting the video.

The proper etiquette NOW would be creating a new video and exposing this creator's behavior. Tiktok loves drama....go ahead and get your virality card, girl! Post it here so we can go engage with it in support of you 😅🤗
