People appearing on "Users" part when you search for something

As I was searching for something completely unrelated and something with no similarities with a person's username,a "users" section popped up and a person that I know irl (we have no mutuals,nor is he in my "suggested for you/you might know" people) was at the top of that list (there was only 4 people,the other 3 people had usernames that were related to the thing I searched.) Does this happen randomly or does this mean that that person viewed your profile/searched for you?
