Shotokan trains for speed, because it's a point karate. and they also stop their kicks. You do what you train.
Kyokushin is a knockout style. They train for power.
She is used to it, kyokushin practitioners literally beat the ever living shit out of each other, they spar all the time and they don't hold back while doing so.

I entered a martial arts tournament years ago, which was basically MMA but with no ground work, so basically a purely striking tournament.
I had to fight against some guys who did Kyokushin and hitting them in the body had as much effectiveness as hitting a tree. Their conditioning was insane, a full power kick to their side would just be shrugged off.
They could also head kick you when basically standing toe to toe, the only "weakness" that they had was due to their martial art not allowing punches to the face, which was allowed in this tournament.
The overall winner of the tornament was a Kyokushin guy who beat me.
The next day I felt like I had been hit by a truck, bruises all up and down my sides from their kicks and punches.
Kyokushin is one of the few martial arts that I actually have respect for, they go hard with their sparing.
She's just anemic.
She can fix me.
I remember blocking low kicks in Kyokushin class. Basically you would just lift your leg and turn it out a bit. Either your shin breaks or their's does seemed to be the concept.
I approve of the demo, I hope they make more
Kyoku means hard and shin means shin (i don’t know Japanese)
