I counted the ads in 100 scrolls and here are my results. Is this normal?

I was complaining to my friend that it felt like every other scroll on tiktok was an ad, tt shop video, or a live. He had no idea what I was talking about, saying that his FYP was nowhere near as bad as that, so I counted up 100 scrolls. He got 5 ads and 0 lives. He is US and I am UK.

I’m curious to know how this compares to your guys’ FYP?

The amount of lives you get are based on how many times you interact with lives

Yup, every third scroll is an ad for me.

In Singapore and experiencing the same thing, I get an ad very few scrolls there is like a huge chunk of them at once (2-3 ads bunched together with one normal post in between)

I'm from Colombia, practically has no ads, every time a new one pops up I just press not interested
