Videos are getting great engagement on TikTok, but absolutely nothing on Reels and YouTube shorts.

I make gaming content, and I post a short about once a week. On tiktok I get at LEAST 100k+ views per video, with great engagement. Meanwhile on reels and shorts, I've been getting like only 5k to 10k views per video.

The strange thing is, is that my reels and YT shorts videos used to do amazing as well, even outperforming the tiktok videos, but as of a few weeks ago, it's like my accounts on reels and YT got shadowbanned or something.

I'm very confused, any ideas?

Different audiences, different metrics, same happened with me. I have over 30k followers on TikTok and average 1 million views a week and do it full time. Posted the same videos everyday for 7 months on IG and only got 70 followers. Reels averaged 2k views. Highest was 20k

I’ve seen this happen and it usually isn’t a shadowban, it’s more about how each platform is evaluating your content at that moment.

TikTok is a lot more forgiving with distribution. It’ll keep testing your video with new audiences even if the first batch isn’t perfect. Reels and Shorts tend to be stricter, if the initial retention and engagement signals aren’t strong enough, they just stop pushing.

A few things that could explain the drop:

  • the same content doesn’t always translate across platforms, even if it worked before
  • small changes in hook or pacing matter more than we think
  • audience expectations differ (YT especially favors slightly different storytelling)

Any people that runs 100 to 10k followers pages (any social media)?

Hey all, I own a business that involves many clients that promote their product, art or website with TikTok (also Instagram, Youtube and Facebook). I want to offer them a way to post their content, or to get content created and posted for them on existing TikTok pages. Basically you got pages in a specific theme (sport, anime, cinema, culture, memes...) and you rent it for a specific period of time. You get paid every month, and all you have to do is basically connecting the account once to our system. You can opt-out anytime you want, you keep the full ownership of the account. That's basically a way to monetize your pages passively.
