Why is it any time I try to look at a video on the web version of tiktok it just doesn't work?

So I personally HATE tiktok (which is why I won't get it) but anytime I have to watch a video on tiktok it just doesn't let me and it tells me to download it, but ANYTIME I do try to download it it doesn't let me? Please let me know if you know what's happening
