Genuine question about growth

I started from nothing. I know i started at a bad time, but I also understand times aren't the same and not many people "blow up" like they used to due to over saturation and the new tik tok. Im mainly just posting my hobby hoping to connect with other creators.

But, I've been doing research on how to post about my hobby and several other small creators that I've looked at their page have never started as small as I have.

I post everyday in the sewing/cosplay and only get around 300 views which i expected in the beginning due to being a brand new account.

My question is when I look at similar account of smaller creators that grew (theyre around like 30k) their earlier posts all have like 1-2k?

Do people just have a stronger start sometimes? is the new algorithm that different? do those views get acquired over time?

Completely new to all this so just curious

I think people pay to boost their videos

> do those views get acquired over time?

This is absolutely true too. You will get a big burst of views in the first hour, then later if you have another video that gets popular, your older videos will get more views.

I have videos that got just a few hundred views when I first posted them, but then I'll look back a few weeks later and they will have gotten a few hundred more.

I’m also new to TikTok, about 2 weeks in and I felt like you on the beginning, and still do some days now.

The most important thing with tiktok is to figure out your hook. That means the first thing in your video is something that needs to be interesting.

I’m in the cleaning niche and I have learned that starting mid action works a lot better. Also keep your videos short and constant action. For you for example a running sewing machine or a sneak peak of your creation would probably work well. And keep the videos short. That was the hardest part for me. I now get videos that have 5k or more views, even had a 26k one.

And you are new, use the time to experiment. Try music, talking, ASMR aspect (meaning just he sounds that your work does etc) just try to have fun with making the video.

I’m sure you will get there!
