Not wrong!!! We are no longer *“a family”* kind of society!!! Pay them what they’re worth!!

Naw, you basically gotta riot in my state to get a raise for teachers.

So many states only increased wages after walkouts and mass protests.

It’s time for another raise because inflation is out of control, and I’m assuming it won’t happen until teachers strike again.

Teachers should make as much as RNs and firefighters.

Teacher appreciation week should be money and no school that week. Teachers are getting crushed into powder now. Every single peer of mine who got into left after at most 2 years.

I know this will get downvoted, but in my area teacher are doing fine. The average salary is 75k in PA, which i would say is livable wage. This is especially for someone who doesn’t work the whole year

My wife was given the cheapest bottle of wine(she doesnt drink alcohol), some fancy cheeses(she is lactose intolerant), a summer sausage and some crackers(well those were a win with our kids atleast).

She would also have preferred just the $ they spent on the basket.

Idk man as a teacher I feel like free lunches and free bagels are great gifts for the week. Our school got us a proper taco truck for free and it was a really great time.
