The amount of damage people take into account because they like being drunk is insane.
Question for curious idiots like myself - so, would it be possible to ingest the missing enzyme, so that it could help forget process (decompose) the toxic intermediate he's taking about? I understand their bodies cannot produce the enzyme themselves, and I'm only taking about a temporary solution here. Any doctors to help?

My wife has this. She is smart though which means i have a DD for life.
I just stopped trying. I enjoy drinking but the glow, headache, and vomiting just isn't worth it.
I mean alcohol is carcinogenic for everyone anyway. So is the sun. So is air in the metropolitan cities. Enjoy it or don't, know the risks. In the words of some of my less disciplined mates "hey tomorrow you'll get hit by a bus anyway".
