She’s the one with the dead kid. If she can handle the humor and you can’t, that seems like your problem

This is some peak "using humor to cope with trauma b/c it's all you can do" vibes and I just question how much life experience the rest of the commenters (so far) have b/c this is funny and not disturbing. It's called gallows humor.

To have your daughter for only 4 days...

I dunno guys it's a great dark joke but i still wanna cry

It's so funny to see people who don't understand dark humour as a coping mechanism lose their shit over things like this and read it as mockery or disrespect. They think they can dictate how people should grieve and it needs to fit their personal view. That being said filming and posting it to social media is a bit of a yikes.

Ngl, I burst out laughing. It takes serious balls to make a dead kid joke, and even more respect if you stick the landing.

If I called this sort of joke infantile, would that be too on the nose?

you do with that pain whatever you like lady. no one will understand. even if fucking internet points make you feel better. unless it’s rage bait. then whatever.

Her kid died. She can make a joke about it if she wants.

It’s also a decent joke.

OOF!

But also, people BETTER make jokes like this about me once I kick it!

Humor is a perfectly valid way of coping with grief, even if it can be...uncomfortable for some folks.

I'm okay with this.

It's better than the shrine that my homie put in his place with the drawing of Jesus holding his dead kid that's over his fireplace that makes everyone uncomfortable.
