In some ways more impressive—no cash incentive, it’s mildly embarrassing and yet they keep going. God bless ya, Slow Tony!

I’d say this is much more impressive, there wasn’t any doubt the person who finished first would finish, it was much more unlikely that this person would finish the race. Bigger accomplishment in my eyes.
I was once at a 10K run. I remember seeing the last one who came in after 3 hours or something like that. He was a big guy, like huge. Nobody was even close to overcoming the mental or physical challenge that man overcame that day. But nobody was there to congratulate him. It was very sad but also beautiful in a way.
Anyway, I still think about that dude.
Very impressive. He finished and not gave up.
I don’t know if I’d say JUST as impressive, but kudos nonetheless
The Iditarod gives out a special award called the Red Lantern for the last place finisher because finishing hard things still is a cause for celebration.
‘ I need to speak to the manager’ for 26 miles. Impressive.
One more marathon than I ever finished.
