18 years later and people still think this is what pro-choice means

The number of idiots I’ve had to explain to that pregnancy fucking sucks and causes permanent body changes before you ever give birth for the vast majority of pregnancies (from feet growing up a size, which is more common, to teeth literally falling out and so much more). No sane person is carrying that long just to abort unless something has gone terribly terribly wrong with the pregnancy. Any barriers you put in place at that point are just making the lowest point in a person/family’s lives harder

When I was in college, i am from India, my then girlfriend and I were invited by a Christian religious group that had set up something on campus (it was a Christian college ).The college itself was pretty strict about boys and girls spending time together, so it stood out how welcoming the nuns there were. They brought us in, gave us food like something equivalent to a bagel and a juice box, and had information counters about religion and God.Then they took us into a screening room and showed us around 15 minutes of extremely graphic abortion footage, cut fetuses being dropped in the bucket, fetuses getting cut and slashed in the womb type shi and graphic to a level I don’t think most people outside medical settings would normally be exposed to. At the time, I didn’t fully process what had happened, but I came out of it strongly against abortion, and so did my girlfriend. Those images stayed with me for a long time. Looking back now, older and with a more developed perspective, I see it differently, but those nuns were such cunts subjected us 17 yo to such gore.
