I might be onto nothing with this one but US tiktok seems nerfed like way fewer views way more competitive than it used to be?

You’re not imagining it. My content is skyrocketing on instagram and stalling on TikTok currently when it used to be the opposite. It’s actually so bad that I’ve considered getting rid of my account with 22k followers and starting over.

They’re especially nerfing small accounts. There is no more room to grow on tiktok. They only care about their heavy hitters and thats it. Two of my videos are barely gaining traction days after being posted while some of them stopped being pushed out completely. Some of my videos i take down bc they get stuck at 0 views. When the US bought tiktok, it went down the gutter for good.

Tiktok is dreaming to become like YouTube. Only giving big views to well established channels, wanting longer original videos, etc.

Tiktok has been full of stolen content, thirst traps, ai, dance videos, low effort slop for ages.

Despite popularity, tiktok has struggled to be immensely profitable or have viewers watch more than 2 seconds a video. YouTube is luring a lot of people over to Shorts which often link to long form videos.
