If this is crazy to anyone, it’s because it is. If you’re ever in contact with a therapist, they can get you committed to a psych ward against your will for any reason at any time.

On the one hand I am glad we have programs like this, on the other hand I don’t think this is being used as intended. The driver seems very reasonable and perfectly willing to comply with another evaluation by setting an appointment with the doctor. He might be on his way to work???

This is wild. This would turn any human from normie to “certified” in a heartbeat. WTF

Go to his IG. He seems to be a conspiracy theorist and posts videos of “delivering” documents to government representatives informing them of violations they’re committing. He posted fliers around town for people to meet and discuss his complaints then said everyone that showed up was undercover and trying to derail his efforts. I think one of these events is where another psychiatrist witnessed his behavior. I’m not an expert in any of this, but it shows signs of paranoid personality disorder. He also has confrontations with police in a few that push the boundaries of them violating his rights, but his behavior in those interactions raises their defenses and warrants their reaction to him. There’s definitely more to this story.

Ok so, it sounds like this is clearly not in the US for starters.

From what I gather, a psychiatrist (psychologist?) concluded that bc this man failed to show up for some type of scheduled appointment, he is therefore considered some type of risk (possibly even mentally unwell, according to them, based on nothing it seems) and so much like a wellness check this goes EVEN further and tracked down to be detained in order to get an actual evaluation.

Does that sound right?

At least he has that footage of himself acting completely rational to show to a judge. I hope he gets a good lawyer and forces these goons to change their policy
