So manu scam ads on TikTok

For the first time ever I was actually curious about an ad on TikTok for a Ninja 3-in-1 coffee machine selling for £119 rather than the standard £450.

It was pretty sophisticated. An AI generated clip with narration that went off to a site ripped from the real Ninja site. The URL was something like ninjafr-dot-store. Everything else on the page was dead and it was pretty obviously a scam, but quite a convincing one to the untrained eye.

Obviously I backed out but TikTok clocked that I'd viewed it and now every time I go on TikTok I get 5 or 6 similar ads, all for Ninja products.

How does TikTok allow this to happen? Surely it must have some way of filtering these things out. The scammers who set these up must be raking in a small fortune.
