Monetization for Canadians

Hey all! I’m on TikTok with over 500k followers and I haven’t made a dime. I’m also on Instagram with 130k. Can any other Canadian creators point me in the right direction to start monetizing my content? I have a day job obviously lol but I want to retire my dad, and I think it could be possible with sponsorships!

I have a business email and have received a few offers but one was from Block Blast who asked me to not disclose the ad (illegal) and the other was from Bellessa for I think 500$ for a bunch of s*x toy content which doesn’t quite fit with my content.

Is the answer really YouTube shorts and Facebook?? (I have both but they are quite slow growing)

Sure. What stuff do you post? how long did you take to reach 500k followers, and what is your regular/average 'video view' count?

a) "brand deals". You get paid to promote other people's stuff.
b) You should have seen the "contests" section when you reached 1k followers. There's some "unlocked" stuff it lets you do.
c) Tiktok is really pushing their 'live' video thing - so if you don't mind being on camera and making an a** out of yourself, people may send you 'tiktok gifts'.
