best social media management tool today?

been doing social media marketing for our brand for a while, now planning to offer it as a service for our clients. and i udnerstand doing it for yourself is one thing, and doing it for others/clients is a different game.

so suggest me the best (in terms of affordability and usability) social media management tool in the market as of today... ideally with great ai capabilities. some we're looking into already -

  • buffer (reddit's fav)
  • hootsuite (og)
  • content studio (have used it already)
  • sprout social (see it everywhere)
  • agorapulse (high price)
  • sendible (unique)
  • social pilot (looks good)
  • zoho social (most affordable)

if youve actually used any of them id like the honest take. for the people who tried a few and settled on one, please share the things that id have to find out later. and if you dropped one, what was the dealbreaker.

For a B2B agency starting to offer it as a service, Social Pilot is the best value at that stage white label reporting, client management, and reasonable pricing without the Hootsuite bloat. Sprout Social is excellent but the price jumps are painful as you add clients.

For client work, I’d separate “best tool” from “best operating setup.” The thing that gets painful later usually isn’t scheduling posts, it’s permissions, approvals, reporting, and keeping client feedback from living in six different places.

A decent way to choose:

  1. Make a fake client in each shortlisted tool and run a full week through it: draft, approval, schedule, revise, report.
  2. Check whether clients can approve content without seeing other clients’ work. That sounds obvious, but it’s where some tools get awkward fast.
  3. Look at reporting exports before you buy. If you’ll spend an hour cleaning screenshots every month, the cheap plan stops being cheap.
  4. Treat AI features as a bonus, not the buying reason. Most of the value is in turning rough ideas into first drafts, not letting it run the account.

For a small service offer, I’d rather start with the tool that makes approvals and reporting boring than the one with the longest feature list.

Well let's start with there is no best tool. It all depends what do you want to achieve with it.

I'd start with mapping out what you actually intend to do on miro or figma. see the whole journey of your customers and their customers(so what you're palnning to do for them)

Then differentiate between the price and what value it is to you. Things are cheap for a reason.

If you do simple content and comment to dm automation probably manychat or inro. If you do full stack marketing probs zoho gohighlevel or inflowave. If you do email marketing instantly... I mean there's literally so many tools and you havent really given any info on what you do. You also mention great ai capabilities. That's litearlly going to be the driving factor in making it expensive...

since you've used contentstudio already, the bit that actualy changes for client-services is the workspace setup, each client gets their own isolated space (accounts, calendar, approvals, analytics) but you still manage all of them from one login.. agency plan is flat rate so adding more clients doesnt spike the bill

I’d suggest adding SocialBu to your shortlist too.

For client work, the main things to compare are approvals, inbox, reporting, and how easy it is to manage multiple brands without the cost getting out of hand. SocialBu covers those pretty well, plus scheduling, AI content help, automation, listening, and analytics.

It’s worth testing with one fake client workflow before deciding: draft → approval → schedule → report. That usually shows quickly if a tool will work for agency-style work.

I keep coming back to Buffer because it's the one clients can actually learn without me turning into tech support. I've used Hootsuite, Sprout and SocialPilot, and the extra features rarely mattered enough to justify the higher cost for small to mid-sized clients.

Any people that runs 100 to 10k followers pages (any social media)?

Hey all, I own a business that involves many clients that promote their product, art or website with TikTok (also Instagram, Youtube and Facebook). I want to offer them a way to post their content, or to get content created and posted for them on existing TikTok pages. Basically you got pages in a specific theme (sport, anime, cinema, culture, memes...) and you rent it for a specific period of time. You get paid every month, and all you have to do is basically connecting the account once to our system. You can opt-out anytime you want, you keep the full ownership of the account. That's basically a way to monetize your pages passively. For now I'm doing it myself with my own pages (3 tiktok pages with 500 to 3k followers, and 1 6k subscribers Youtube channel), I made around $800 renting these for less than a month.
