Found this thread, where the OP actually got in touch with a human. Just an "unresolved issue we can't do anything about at this time, sorry. :" Honestly, when Tiktok works, it feels great. But when it behaves like this, man... absolutely kills any creative momentum you've got going. Insta just isn't the same; haven't tried Youtube Shorts yet. I'd hoped I wouldn't have to. But alas, here we are

Same thing happened to me after i think i organically was commenting too much and got a soft shadow/throttle. I quite literally didnt interact with anything on the app for about 3 weeks and then it seemed to reset itself and go back to normal. Ive had to do this at least 4 times, and its the only thing ive found to work.

The TikTok that was left after the reboot SUX. Singapore took the elegant algorithm away and we are left with Meta's shitty algorithm.

Do you think a new app update could fix this?

It’s happening to thousands of us . Nothing works , nothing helps . Tik tok doesn’t care .
