You are the idiot. The water does not vanish, it becomes polluted and undrinkable for the inhabitants who happen to be unlucky enough to live near the data centres. It takes a simple google search to discover that but then again…only idiots will search that right?

Not a fan of daily mail, but generally the U.N aren't idiots. They may not have much actual power to stop anything as an institution, but if they're also saying Ai water use is an issue, then it's an issue.
