engagement feels harder than ever right now and i think a big part of it is the sameness. every feed is flooded with ai slop and the same recycled formats, so people just scroll straight past most of it without reacting to anything.

so the real question is how do you actually stand out in that. what genuinely makes someone stop and comment or share instead of scrolling on by. is it a sharper point of view, a specific format, talking to a narrower audience, something else?

I think the biggest thing is having a real opinion. Most content today is safe, generic, and forgettable. People engage when they agree strongly, disagree strongly, or feel understood. You have to build a community. I think that you should focus on your target audience. Ask questions and react, cause most influencers are looking for growth, but they don't want to talk to their followers. Let them know who you really are, so that they can trust the person behind the camera. If your content is just like the others, make sure yours is still unique.

The sameness issue is definitely a big problem with standard playbooks for marketing and social media these days, especially with people focusing on using genAI to get their content. I always recommend reactive marketing as the solution to that. Even if you're using a genAI tool, if you're feeding it real time events and reacting to it, you can inject yourself in the current conversation and be relevant, and stand out from the crowd who's just using "generate me five social media posts and hooks" etc etc.

Hey all, I own a business that involves many clients that promote their product, art or website with TikTok (also Instagram, Youtube and Facebook). Basically you got pages in a specific theme (sport, anime, cinema, culture, memes...) and you rent it for a specific period of time.
