Hidden comments

I like how TikTok just hides any comments with some opinion at the bottom you have to press to see

Obviously with popular videos with 1,000s of comments, no one is gonna scroll for 3 minutes to the bottom, to see comments that are opinionated or use a word not deemed appropriate for like a 9 year old to hear for some reason

Like i get it. blocking offensive things or harassment, yes some is just crappy people are on anything and everywhere,

But when it’s people, just with their harmless opinion commenting, that hiding it just makes it seem like the platform is taking a side, covering up, or it’s too compromised to even let discussion happen

I only really watch this type of stuff on tiktok though, so my brain is probably fried to some level at least. Im just amazed we’ve made it this far honestly
