Audio Cropping not working

The audio cropping just does not function or do anything at all for me? I tried looking online to see if anyone else had this problem or had a fix, but there was nothing. I have the option, but when I hit the scissors icon and can see the whole audio laid out, nothing happens no matter what I try to do. I try to slide it, pinch and pull, nothing. It's kind of infuriating and I genuinely have no clue what to do. I've tried to crop audios both shorter and longer than a minute. Does it only work on audios you uploaded or something? I'm on a Samsung Galaxy A15 if that could somehow be the issue. I only downloaded the app a week ago so everything should be up to date.
