tiktok views constantly low?

Hey, first time posting here but I’m feeling at a complete loss and hoping for some insight. I’ve been posting yt shorts since around last december and have yet to see much breakthrough success but do consistently hit between 1k-3k views for every short I post with a handful of comments and 20-100 likes each on average. But I’ve been posting the same content on tiktok and each video I post stays around 2-20 views with basically no likes or engagement in months. It’s the same content and I previously was under the impression that it was “easier” to get views on tiktok than on yt shorts so I was just wondering if there’s something obvious I’m missing in my approach or if I’m just unlucky!
