This app is genuinely full of idiots.
I could not find a fitting flair for this, my apologies.
It all started yesterday, when a video randomly came upon my feed. It was a video showing a couple doing a challenge, the objective being one partner watching the other destroy a personal item belonging to the other without reacting. To clarify, I do not keep abreast with the account or such content in general.
In the video, the husband/boyfriend destroys the girlfriend's/wife's make-up palette. In the video, she held his gaming console and I thought she was about to walk offscreen.
I made a reply to a comment that was along the lines of, "There is a difference between unplugging the console and destroying the make-up palette", unaware of the fact that there was a prior video in which the girlfriend/wife destroyed the gaming controller for the console in a similar manner. Let me reiterate that the video randomly came upon my feed. I do not keep abreast with the account or such content in general. It is important that I state this continuously.
Two other users corrected me, with one directing me to the previous video in question. I accepted their corrections, thanked them and admitted my perspective was limited.
However, other users started to correct me despite the fact that I was already informed. I am also getting harassed with reaction images calling me stupid for being unaware of the previous video. As of now, it is still ongoing.
This annoys me because they could've simply extended the reply thread to ensure that what they are about to say isn't redundant, as the replies that initially corrected me are redundant. It also upsets me that there are people still calling me stupid for not knowing the prior context when:
a) I was already corrected for about a day ago at this point. You cannot be calling me stupid for being unaware of the previous video when you can't even bother to extend the reply thread (which is ONE button) to see if what you are saying is redundant or not.
b) I maturely accepted the initial corrections, and admitted that at the time of the initial reply, my view was limited as I randomly recieved the video and do not keep up with the account.
c) I do not watch the content of the account, how was I supposed to know about the prior installment when the video came upon my feed randomly?
The thread is filled with people mocking me and it is genuinely taxing to see. This has been happening since yesterday. These people make me so angry.
I am considering reporting all subsequent responses as harassment as they are either redundant or simply insulting me.
