If a video gets a lot of negative traction, but a lot of views. Is it better to private or leave up?

For some reason, my videos occasionally get pushed to the wrong side of tiktok and they’ll get a ton of views, but I’ll start receiving a ton of hate comments. Occasionally, hateful DMs too.

They’re always silly meaningless videos, but for whatever reason, every now and then a surplus of people decide to misunderstand me or get offended by something random that was never intended to be offensive.

I usually just turn the comments off and let the video keep preforming well, but I’m wondering if better to private these videos despite very high view counts?

Does a surplus of negative comments result in people seeing me or my account as negative?
