What's a good skip rate on Instagram?

I started making reels about my local area (Melbourne, Australia) 2ish weeks ago and I was really surprised to see half of them get over 50k views,,

Anyway I looked at the retention section and I saw that around half of people stay until halfway through the video, and my "skip rate" is always between 20% and 28%, usually around the 25% mark

What's a good skip rate to have? Do I need to change anything? Am I doing well and I just need to put out more content? Should I start posting to other platforms? Tysm!

I run a marketing agency called Mideaseed, and honestly, a 20-28% skip rate isn't bad at all.

If ur getting 50k+ views and around half the viewers are still watching halfway through, I'd focus more on doubling down on what's working than obsessing over the skip rate.

The biggest question is: are people sharing, saving, and following after watching? That's usually a stronger signal than skip rate alone.

I think those numbers are pretty good. I average about 45% skip rate on most videos. My popular videos that get over 100K views in the first week might get 30% skip rate

Hey all, I own a business that involves many clients that promote their product, art or website with TikTok (also Instagram, Youtube and Facebook). I want to offer them a way to post their content, or to get content created and posted for them on existing TikTok pages. Basically you got pages in a specific theme (sport, anime, cinema, culture, memes...) and you rent it for a specific period of time. You get paid every month, and all you have to do is basically connecting the account once to our system. You can opt-out anytime you want, you keep the full ownership of the account. That's basically a way to monetize your pages passively.
