UNABLE TO FOLLOW ON TIKTOK

I just created my account friday june 19, and Im unable to follow anyone back. I was able to follow a few people but now it doesn’t work. I’ve tried clearing my cache and it doesn’t do anything. Whenever I follow people it says I’m following them, but when I refresh the follow is gone.
