3 times is a little excessive but some times I flash mine to warn other drivers of a cop or deer

I was behind a guy on the highway a few nights ago who was driving without any lights on. I flashed my high beams a few times to try and let him know. When I passed him on the left, he was giving me the finger and started speeding up because he didn't want me to pass him. Can't help stupid.
