finally!

after almost two months, the restriction was finally lifted!! here’s how;

last month i made a public post (shown in picture 3) with the following accounts tagged @社区客服薯 @薯队长 @薯管家 with the text “please help” and photos of what my account looked like to me (public) and to my friends (private). within 24 hours i received a message from @社区客服薯 (picture 4), but the message was in a folder titled “from strangers you don’t know” with a red speech bubble icon next to it. the message asked for my response in detail exactly what was happening and what i needed assistance with. i explained that i diligently followed the app rules, have not ever received a violation or suspension, that my views dropped, and that none of my friends were receiving the comments i posted on their notes. not long after sending it, i received a reply that they are forwarding my complaint to others who could help address the issue.

i never heard back, but 5 days ago i received a message from the system (where the surveys are usually sent). i thought this message was just informing me of a new policy as it stated some features are not available in my region anymore. i took a second look at it and tapping it like you tap to open the surveys, brought me to a more detailed page with a button at the bottom. i don’t remember exactly what it said but it was along the lines of “verify” or “verification”. i tapped it, and it brought me to a captcha like box. upon completing the task, my screen refreshed and i received a notice a few seconds later that the restriction was lifted (pictures 2 and 1)!

immediately after that, i started receiving a flood of messages of people liking and replying to comments i had left on their notes weeks ago but that they couldn’t see during the restriction. i made a test post, and sure enough, my friends in china could finally see me again!

so whoever worked their tookis off to help us out with this issue and assist us in getting the restriction lifted, THANK YOU!! 🥰💕💕 and i hope this helps others who are trying to accomplish the same thing

Oh yea this system message pops up here and there. Idk what triggers it as I have no time to read their rules 😆 but as long you click that lift button it lifts up right away for me

Hi, sorry to bother you, but could you please send a message to my chinese friend telling her that Red Note won't let me send messages or comments? I’ve been liking her posts, so she knows I’m still active, but I haven’t been able to get the account restriction lifted, if you’re willing to help, I can give you her account number, and all you’d have to do is send her a message explaining the situation and including my social media handles, just in case she decides to create an account for twitter and instagram, t’s just that, a simple message Thanks anyway

i've a very similar issue but i just created my account last night and tried to change my username/profile picture and ID but it wouldn't stay once the app refreshed. I then got the "feature restrications have been lifted" notification on top but i still can't edit username and so on. Any idea what i can do?

Making the Jump from TikTok to Rednote(Xiaohongshu)? Here’s What You Need to Know

So you’re thinking about switching (or at least dabbling) from TikTok to **Rednote** (aka Xiaohongshu)? Here’s a quick rundown on what to expect and how to adapt: 1. **Different Vibe** * **TikTok** is all about short, snappy videos—dances, trends, and memes. * **Rednote** leans more toward lifestyle tips, product reviews, and personal stories. Think mini-blogs rather than just quick clips. 2. **Less is More—or Is It?** * On **TikTok**, you can go viral with a 15-second masterpiece. * On **Rednote**, people actually read captions and appreciate detailed posts. Don’t be afraid to write a bit more and share personal insights. 3. **Engage with the Community** * Responding to comments is key on both platforms, but **Rednote** users expect a friendlier, more helpful approach. Focus on real interaction rather than just racking up views. 4. **Use Relevant Hashtags & Keywords** * **TikTok** hashtags can be trendy and fleeting. * **Rednote** hashtags and keywords should be more targeted, especially if you’re reviewing products or sharing how-to tips. 5. **Be Ready for Culture Shifts** * The **Rednote** audience often loves beauty, travel, fashion, and “real-life” hacks. * If you’re pivoting from dance challenges, consider experimenting with lifestyle or review content to fit the platform’s style. 6. **Quality Over Quantity** * While **TikTok** can reward frequent posting, **Rednote** might favor fewer, well-thought-out posts that really resonate. High-quality visuals and genuine storytelling go a long way. Got questions about Rednote? Drop ’em below—always happy to help a fellow content creator make the jump!

The ban isn't really about privacy concerns

Why exactly? You and me know why America is banning tiktok... They can't control the narrative their like they do with Facebook or Instagram YouTube. etc The genocide in Gaza was being shown in its full without any kind of censorship... And daddy israel doesn't like that so the AIPAC who's holding the American politicians by the balls... Forced them into banning the app.... It's not about privacy or any of that.... Remember edward Snowden.? I rest my case.

Y'all know why Trump suddenly became "pro-TikTok" right?

Say it with me....because he and his oligarch buddies are getting worried Americans are waking up to the truth about the anti-China propaganda BS in Red Note and will either demand better conditions or go full socialist.
