Thinking that police forces derived from slave catchers is the most US-centric bullshit.

You seriosuly think there were no law enforcers in the americas before slavery? You think other countries didnt have police forces or the equivalent before chattel slavery?

This guy is wrong about almost everything he said.

Forms of police existed in the U.S. prior to slaves. Sheriff's, Constables, etc. predated slaves patrols by 75 years. The history of badges dates back to medieval coats of arms, not slave patrol badges. Later forms of police ("modern police") were modeled after the London Metropolitan Police, and England never had slaves patrols to base their law enforcement police departments off of.

There is no court case thay says police exist to protect capital. The cases he cites concern people not having an INDIVIDUAL right to protection by law enforcement. This is common sense. If it were otherwise, any time anyone is a victim if a crime, they could sue the police department for not protecting them. Law enforcement exists for general protection, not to be your personal bodyguard.

Regardless of how the organizations were formed, the fact that law enforcement has existed in pretty much every society on every continent throughout the history of time should show you that their current roots are irrelevant becasue the function they serve is essentially the same throughout the entire world - and that is enforcing the laws that each society deems necessary.

Police are literally not even required to enforce the law. They could watch someone shoot you, shrug, and say "bad luck".

Bitch what about the rest of the points in the goddamned video? The FBI was founded to catch bank robbers. The CIA has assassinated or fomented coups against so many democratically elected leftists. And yes, many of the police departments of today are modeled on and built from the remnants of slave catchers. Except the LAPD, they’re just straight up modeled on the Klan.

also loss prevention and security at any type of place are also forms of cops and policing. basically think about any job where you have to protect a business or rich person and it's the same thing.

Thank you for this. I believe most of this is true, but there are good cops out there truly wanting to protect, but I believe most of them are not in the U.S.

The U.S. want hired thugs. Criminal Cops. Dirty Cops willing to bend the rules to whatever benefits the ultra wealthy.
