Supergirl doesn’t need to be ripped, she has superhuman strength due to exposure to a yellow sun.

Also, she’s not buff in the comics.

Just because you have a fetish for muscular women doesn’t mean mainstream audiences want it too.

Is she buff in the comics? Spider-Man isn’t always super shredded like Thor but he’s still extremely strong, yet nobody cares when he has a slim athletic build because we are used to it.
