Has anyone actually started getting clients or orders from social media posts?

I have been thinking about this a lot lately and wanted to see what others are experiencing.

A lot of people say you should post consistently on social media to get clients or orders especially on platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok. So I started trying that and kept posting regularly

The content gets views and some engagement but I am not really seeing it turn into actual clients or inquiries yet.

It makes me wonder if I am missing something in how I am presenting my work or if it just takes much longer than expected for people to actually trust and reach out.

Has anyone here actually started getting real clients or orders just from posting content or focusing on how to gain real followers instagram?

Absolutely I consider it an integral part of my small shop. I posted about once every week day for about 2 years and it wasn’t until June 2025 I got my first viral video (I’m talking 2 million views) and it skyrocketed my shop. Be consistent & be real. I try to build community and honesty through posts and I think customers can absolutely tell.

For most people it's not consistency that flips it, it's specificity. Views come from broad relatable content, but clients come from posts that name a specific problem and a specific person, with an obvious next step. If your feed reads as "look at my work," people admire it and scroll. If it reads as "here's the exact thing I fix for X and how," the right people self select and reach out.

The other half is going where intent already is instead of only broadcasting. Replying in the threads and communities where your buyers actually hang out converts way faster than waiting for a post to get discovered.

I'd say it's not actually about posting regularly..

It's more about the kinds of posts you put out.

Theres something called the attraction content (e.g educational content, content about your views on certain topics, entertainment content, e.t.c which helps people discover you and want to follow and engage with you)

And there'd the conversion content (e.g case studies of your work, stories about customer experiences and how you helped solve their problems, e.t.c which shows your expertise and gets you hired)

Over all, it takes a while. There's no telling how long because the journey is different for everyone. However, keep showing up consistently until you're known for that thing you do.... and you'd eventually get hired.

You can also try cold DMs (I've never tried..that.. but it works for others)..

The way I got ppl to order from me was to send my poster to every family and friend that I had on my whatsapp list and I asked them to share it on all their socials. I got customers the first day I launched just 30mins after sending it. It felt amazing. 😃👍 Good Luck to you.

This is a good question. Social can absolutely drive clients, but usually not from random posting alone. The posts need to create trust around a clear problem, then the profile needs to make the next step obvious. A lot of people get reach but lose the lead because the page never tells visitors what they do or who it is for.

Any people that runs 100 to 10k followers pages (any social media)?

Hey all, I own a business that involves many clients that promote their product, art or website with TikTok (also Instagram, Youtube and Facebook). I want to offer them a way to post their content, or to get content created and posted for them on existing TikTok pages. Basically you got pages in a specific theme (sport, anime, cinema, culture, memes...) and you rent it for a specific period of time. You get paid every month, and all you have to do is basically connecting the account once to our system. You can opt-out anytime you want, you keep the full ownership of the account. That's basically a way to monetize your pages passively. For now I'm doing it myself with my own pages (3 tiktok pages with 500 to 3k followers, and 1 6k subscribers Youtube channel), I made around $800 renting these for less than a month.
