Has anyone bought from Rednote market?

I never hear anyone talk about using the shop on Rednote and I was curious if any foreigners are using it. There's stuff I want to buy and the shipping does seem cheaper than Taobao's (unless I've read it wrong).

Actually one of the items I want to buy says free shipping if I spent a certain amount, not sure if that applies to overseas though.

Most likely free shipping in China itself. I do get a few stuffs here and there, and I used a forwarder to ship it over to my country.

Free shipping is definitely domestic shipping.

I’ve ordered. I ordered a few things to the US with consolation shipping and it wasn’t cheap to ship but it showed up and was super easy.

There was more I wanted to order that wasn’t available for overseas so I’m forwarding to a proxy service now. I had to use WeChat to pay as some sellers wouldn’t take foreign cards with Alipay. I’m mostly buying things from small artists and there’s no Taobao option so I can’t compare.

yes! i just did for the first time a few weeks ago.

as long as it says “shipping to (whichever country your in) $__” then you’re good. a lot of the sellers i noticed unfortunately do not ship outside of china.

but for the ones who do, the key is to select “CONSOLIDATED SHIPPING” while you’re checking out!! this is verrry important!! i bought three sets of lash books that were $6 each with my coupons, so a total of $24 right? well shipping was something like $20 for each and these were all the SAME style, from the SAME seller. so i thought they would group them together and only charge me the $20 one time. WRONG.

they originally wanted to charge me $20 shipping for EACH SET. so i would have had to pay $60 for a $24 order, plus tax came out to almost $90 total. INSANE. i almost didn’t do it until i saw the “consolidated shipping” option during checkout.

this is where they do exactly what i first assumed they were going to do, and group all the items into one package, weigh it, and charge you shipping based on the weight of all items. that brought my shipping from an astronomical $60 down to $14. bringing my grand total to $38 instead of $90.

the only downside when choosing this option, is that you HAVE TO BE DILIGENT about checking on your order!! you pay for the items without shipping charges first. then the seller(s) pack them, and send them off to a shipping warehouse where the warehouse waits for each item from each seller. when all of your items arrive at the warehouse, they weigh them together, and send you a notification in the rednote market place that your shipping is ready to be paid for. they WILL NOT send your package until you pay for the shipping!

for me, i received the notification in about 12 hours after i placed the order. but i also only purchased items from a single seller. so it might take longer with multiple sellers.

edit; also, the free shipping should apply as long as you see “shipping to (name of your country) free” on the item. if they don’t ship to your country or it’s not free it will say “this item does not ship to your region” or something like that right under the shipping box in a pink or red highlighted area

Yes I order from rednote all the time. Only some shops and certain products can be shipped to the US, most shops only allow a selection of their products to be shipped to the US.

Consolidated shipping rates are 100% cheaper than any Taobao forwarding warehouse that I've found. Only thing I'll say is that if you're in the US new Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) regulations go into effect literally tomorrow requiring much more serious safety certifications for basically all imported consumer goods. So, if you're US-based, I would wait to see how those affect things first.

Making the Jump from TikTok to Rednote(Xiaohongshu)? Here’s What You Need to Know

So you’re thinking about switching (or at least dabbling) from TikTok to **Rednote** (aka Xiaohongshu)? Here’s a quick rundown on what to expect and how to adapt: 1. **Different Vibe** * **TikTok** is all about short, snappy videos—dances, trends, and memes. * **Rednote** leans more toward lifestyle tips, product reviews, and personal stories. Think mini-blogs rather than just quick clips. 2. **Less is More—or Is It?** * On **TikTok**, you can go viral with a 15-second masterpiece. * On **Rednote**, people actually read captions and appreciate detailed posts. Don’t be afraid to write a bit more and share personal insights. 3. **Engage with the Community** * Responding to comments is key on both platforms, but **Rednote** users expect a friendlier, more helpful approach. Focus on real interaction rather than just racking up views. 4. **Use Relevant Hashtags & Keywords** * **TikTok** hashtags can be trendy and fleeting. * **Rednote** hashtags and keywords should be more targeted, especially if you’re reviewing products or sharing how-to tips. 5. **Be Ready for Culture Shifts** * The **Rednote** audience often loves beauty, travel, fashion, and “real-life” hacks. * If you’re pivoting from dance challenges, consider experimenting with lifestyle or review content to fit the platform’s style. 6. **Quality Over Quantity** * While **TikTok** can reward frequent posting, **Rednote** might favor fewer, well-thought-out posts that really resonate. High-quality visuals and genuine storytelling go a long way. Got questions about Rednote? Drop ’em below—always happy to help a fellow content creator make the jump!

The ban isn't really about privacy concerns

Why exactly? You and me know why America is banning tiktok... They can't control the narrative their like they do with Facebook or Instagram YouTube. etc The genocide in Gaza was being shown in its full without any kind of censorship... And daddy israel doesn't like that so the AIPAC who's holding the American politicians by the balls... Forced them into banning the app.... It's not about privacy or any of that.... Remember edward Snowden.? I rest my case.

Y'all know why Trump suddenly became "pro-TikTok" right?

Say it with me....because he and his oligarch buddies are getting worried Americans are waking up to the truth about the anti-China propaganda BS in Red Note and will either demand better conditions or go full socialist.
