Remember guys (and gals) who think you want a "trad-wife" all these "unfair standards" and rules in divorce court are there because women couldn't legally have a bank account until the 1970s

Too many young girls don’t understand that when a man “gives” them a life, he can also snatch it away. And they often do. Have your own stuff. Even if he doesn’t know about it.

Why do some women think that’s a good thing? I support my girl financially (because they cut her hours at work and she’s going to school with some debt), but at least she works and is trying be financially independent and stable by bettering herself. I want her to support herself even if she’s not with me in the end because I love her and truly wish the best for her.

I have a friend who has been dating her boyfriend for 5 years. They live together, he pays all the bills, her car note, food, everything and he has no plans of marrying her. She quit her big girl job. I just have this bad feeling that she has put herself in a situation that is very insecure if he were to decide one day he wants a change. 10 yr age gap is also at play

This is partially why Alimony exists. Back in the day, women weren't given a shot at the work force, they instead became stay at home moms, cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the kids for X amount of years, eventually some husbands wanted to move on and then the woman with no skills or education would be left with nothing.

Pretty crazy that No Fault Divorce is not even 60 years old. You used to have to prove in court abuse to get a divorce. Another reason Republicans have openly stated they want to end no fault divorce.

People who record and drive should be issued fines.  It is insane to me people get behind the wheel of a 2 ton vehicle and proceed to risk the safety and lives of everyone around them.

I came from a poor migrant family & it was drilled into me that education & employment was the only way out. My 20yr marriage ended abruptly & I had the means to tell my husband at the time to get lost. Took the children & was able to support us until they left home as adults. I’m old now & when I come across videos of these young women I just want to shake some sense into them. Unless you are independently wealthy, every person who can work needs to work. It’s your get out of jail card.

A friend of mine from the army had a marriage like that. They were from rural Ohio. They were around the same age though, but got together in high school, got married and had kids early. She was a trad wife and he made all the money, overall they had a great relationship. But then he died unexpectedly and she was left with the fact that now she was middle aged, had absolutely no work experience or education, and now was responsible for taking care of herself and the kids.
