Why people prefer Instagram over Facebook or Reddit?

I do toy car photography (diecasts, hot wheels, etc). I went to upload to Instragram a 21:9 ratio image but it gets cropped automatically and only the headlamp part or the bonnet is visible in the cropped image. I had to use a black background and overlay the image. I am not very old enough (just in my late 20s), and I don't like people calling Facebook an old people app.

And for those who want to avoid your family circle on Facebook, you can just create an alternate account and don't add your parents and relatives to it. Don't let them know you have an additional account.

For those wondering, no I don't sell hot wheels. I just post my collection's images.

Instagram, Facebook and Reddit all have different vibes. People usually end up spending more time on the platform that feels most comfortable for the kind of content and community they enjoy.

I think Instagram just has a different audience in comparison to Facebook and Reddit. Reddit is more of a forum for discussions and is way more text-heavy than the other two platforms.

People stick with Instagram because the discovery algorithm actually surfaces niche hobby content like your diecast shots to strangers who care. Suppose because it is full if live and bright emotions. People like attractive pics and videos..Even if the photos aren't real and are staged, they still have value.

We all live in a constant state of stress and rushing, and our brains need a break. You scroll through a beautiful feed, sometimes read little stories about other people's lives, admire the beauty, and sometimes even feel grateful that you don't have the same problems they do.

It gives your mind a chance to unwind. I don't think Facebook or Reddit provides that same kind of mental escape.

Any people that runs 100 to 10k followers pages (any social media)?

Hey all, I own a business that involves many clients that promote their product, art or website with TikTok (also Instagram, Youtube and Facebook). I want to offer them a way to post their content, or to get content created and posted for them on existing TikTok pages. Basically you got pages in a specific theme (sport, anime, cinema, culture, memes...) and you rent it for a specific period of time. You get paid every month, and all you have to do is basically connecting the account once to our system. You can opt-out anytime you want, you keep the full ownership of the account. That's basically a way to monetize your pages passively.
