ngl...she had some solid points. Depending on where this is, it's not too bad.
Well, it sounds like it makes sense and it works for her.
Don’t have to buy furniture either. Possibly free laundry / housekeeping? It’s not a bad thought.
I manage a state park. We’re starting to see more people like this because $34/night is way cheaper than rent.
Its way more expensive to be poor in the long run
She’s not wrong. For a lot of people, this is much better than living out of their car, often their only other option.
TBH she has a point. Especially given her criminal record and the obstacles that poses.
If I could have a place to plug in a crockpot and a small fridge I could probably make it work
There are extended stay hotels, often used by people relocating. I stayed for several months during the off-season at $70 a night suite in a high-rise hotel on the beach. It was completely furnished with a full kitchen and all the dishes, utensils, pans, etc.. Washer/Dryer. The works. Felt more like an apartment. I didn't eat out. I love to cook. There were two great grocery stores right across the street.
I didn't have to buy a thing. It was good living. Full services on a resort.
I'd do it again in a heartbeat if needed.
No shame in this. It’s smart and she has a safe roof over her head every night. I commend her for making it work for her!
