oh my god i love tiktok but im starting to get irritated that every video is either a regular ad, an undisclosed ad, a partnership, or a brand deal. I keep trying to change my algorithm and not interact with them but jesus fuck i’m barley watching any real stuff at this point! just ads
I feel the same but I also think something funky is going on with TT in general. I haven’t seen content from people I follow in AGES on the FYP, my videos I post are only getting 300 views when I was getting 50k-100k. I’ve honestly taken a huge break from scrolling because it just doesn’t provide the same content anymore…
It’s awful. I used to spend over an hour on TikTok and now I’m bored in ten minutes. They’ve ruined the app.

I’ve not been on TikTok since the ban but I saw smth about them introducing a paid ad-free tier, so they prolly are pushing ads more aggressively to the peasants who dare to use their app for free to entice them to pay
I just noticed it never shows more than 1-2 normal videos without another ad. Tiktok is not what it used to be...RIP💔
Yeah wtf, literally 1/3 of my videos are now regular ads. 2 videos then a normal ad. But often one of the 2 videos are also an ad so it's more like half are ads
