False equivalency. I like JS, but he’s been carrying water for folks like Chappelle and Louis CK a looong time. The reason we take comedians to task is that they’re upstream from the mass culture. They affect the culture, and the culture affects the politics. People do ask politicians all kinds of things, but mostly they’re ignored.

The only bomb that crosses the line is the one that affects them personally. They don't give a damn about our troops. If they did the VA would be funded. The only thing they care about is optics. If they can obfuscate they do. If they can smear enough shit on everything that you can't tell actuality from a narrative that's what they are gonna do. And its the same mentality that every piece of shit nationalist has. Abolish abortion till I need one. Lock all the druggos up for life until I get caught with half a gram. Want to solve immigration? help nations struggling with infrastructure if the quality of life in countries we see immigrants and asylum seekers coming from improves then they won't need to walk across a contenent in hopes for a better life. Wanna solve dug abuse? Hold companies responsible for pushing opioids accountable then take that money and use data from other countries and states that have had success in combating the issues to develop a program.
