This guy is Phillip Turner responsible for creating the case law "Turner vs. Driver" after he sued the police in Texas for an unlawful detainment. He is the reason the right to film police and public servants has been reinforced. He knows what he is doing when it comes to police interactions.
Fuck ai voice overs
Your experience may vary.
In a just society, this would look completely unnecessary
Part 2 is the cops kicking the window in
I’m surprised there aren’t more “cop-proof” car shops. Yeah, they’re not cheap but there has to be a decent amount of people that would buy a car that cops would struggle to smash or shoot.
I know he’s trying to play it “safe” but those moments he’s getting his paper work. Not showing his hands, this could’ve gone very bad for him.
So, do Miranda rights apply before you’ve actually been arrested? I think his apprehension at interacting with the police is 100% justified. BUT, I think this approach may be overkill.
This is a little misleading. Pennsylvania vs. Mimms allows the cop to at least have the driver exit the vehicle.
So he’s not wrong, he can remain silent, but it’s not a total uno reverse.
No. Do whatever you can to protect yourself and your rights but I won't suggest this bc some police would escalate immediately if you tried this i feel.
