Polarizing subject but this is the truth behind animal testing, animal agriculture, and the demonization of those who try to do something about it. Awareness is key

ACAB. To protect the rich and their wealth. The only reason police and army exist.

Awareness, sure. But once you're aware, if you're not ok with this then you need to boycott or else you're actively supporting it,and you're a hypocrite.

Its violent to grow into an adult and face the cruelty of this world, to look upon the fact that humanity outcompeted all the other species coz were the most violent and savage of them all, and still see the good in the world and continue to fight for ur dreams. Its not violent to leave that to everyone else and continue living like a child, lost in ur own fantasy that the world can and should be perfectly safe, just and equal.

Hotter take :
It is actually violent to ostracize and demonize people who consume those industrial animal products because this is the system.
Some people genuinely have nothing but a McDonald and 2 bucks to eat. They have no cooking knowledge or even a grocery store they could go to.
And even if everyone stopped eating animals, the system would STILL abuse them.
Actively shaming other members of the working class for taking part in a system they didn't choose and have no clue or to get out of (of that they're even a part of it) is EXACTLY what the system WANTS you to do. Divide to conquer.
Same with people who are like, "You're horrible for the environment because you don't bring your own tupperware to the store" - No I'm not. The corporations who dumped 20 millions tons of toxic waste in the environment are.
Should we do something about it? Yes. Boycotting? Ok, sure. But you replace the food with what?
Make gardens. Go and be part of a collective kitchen. Make actual change instead of bitching at clueless people.
Most vegans I know have the privilege to choose where, what and when they eat and to make sure it doesn't contain animal product. When you're barely surviving, you eat what you can.
End of rant.
