Just downloaded tiktok, whats the deal with the live battles with zero substance to the stream other than, give me money.. thank you for giving me money.

I just downloaded tiktok to see what it was all about. I went on the live part to see what people are doing. Theres some good musicians on there and some people gaming but there seems to be a huge amount of women in very revealing clothing just sitting there and asking for awards and battling other people doing the same. What the hell is that all about? I sat through a few just to see if they do anything but mo, they just sit there asking for awards then saying thank you. I saw a bunch of guys doing the same. Who are these people that are giving money and why? Atkeast other streamers are actually doing something, gaming, talking about stuff etc. These people do nothing. Maybe someone who gives these people money can tell me why?
