Tiktok is showing me fascist content overnight

How about not using that rot/propaganda machine for whoever the current owners may be. If it's difficult to do there is help.

That exact thing happened to me a few months back. My feed went from cooking videos and basketball clips to a wall of angry political rants overnight. The not interested button did almost nothing, it felt like the algorithm was actively ignoring my input.

What finally worked was going into my watch history and clearing out any video that even remotely touched those topics, even if I only watched for two seconds. Then I spent a couple days only searching for and rewatching stuff I like, basically force feeding the algorithm until it snapped back. There's probably some broader push happening with the platform right now, but the heavy handed retraining seems to be the only way to fight it.

Just remove this garbage app

It’s probably because someone you’re following (whose videos you have had a higher interaction rate with at some point) is interacting with those types of videos. I started getting a lot of transphobic stuff a month or so ago and turns out a few of them were reposted by someone I was following. It’s not been an issue for me since I corrected the algorithm by not interacting with them or the videos.

You watched one video and it thinks you want more.

I watched one video on Israel Palestine and spent the next week having to endure allsorts of Middle East ragebait shitposts.

People's political views are being weaponised against each other. Classic divide and rule tactics.

Omg no way! Ive have the SAME THING! Ive never had that kind of stuff on my feed. I actually go out of my way to filter, block and remove that kind of stuff. However all of a sudden, I have right winged men calling me names in my comment section. or orrr I find pages with cutely simple things. I'll see comments absolutely tearing people alive, because they said something about gas prices in passing. Next thing you know the comment section is full of "GET A JOB THEN" "these people need to stop complaining and be real adult". bro all she said was gas was expensive. People expressing their struggles online, Is not a personal attack , nor does it call for slander! , i've been avoiding tiktok because the political rage bate is so bad and literally none of the filters are not interests , buttons are working.

you can also restart your feed, like it will start your feed off like you just opened the app for the first time. I had to do it a few times, once when all I kept getting was Spanish ones.
