I am new to the social media game looking to start on a few platforms with content surrounding the haunted places and dark tourism space. So far I have only begun to flesh out what I wanted my presence to look like on the different platforms:

+ Instagram - Digital Diary / BTS / Lifestyle-esque

+ Youtube - Long Form Storytelling

+ TikTok - Short Form Travel Diary / Lists / Storytelling

I feel like I am running into an issue with posting things "perfectly" and since I am starting with exactly zero following I don't know where to even start. Has anyone ever felt similarly when you were getting started? How did you overcome that and get a consistent following?

I feel like it is going to be so weird speaking into a void with zero engagement.

The zero-following stage feels strange, but it is also the best time to practice because there is no established audience expectation yet. I would choose one small repeatable format for each platform instead of trying to make the whole system perfect at launch.

For example, give yourself a simple 30-day test: one short story or observation from each place you research, one longer weekly piece, and a few behind-the-scenes posts. Keep the visual identity consistent, but let the same idea be packaged differently for a reel, a video, and a diary-style post.

Track whether you can keep publishing and which topics earn watch time, saves, replies, or profile visits. Early engagement will be noisy, so consistency and useful signals matter more than whether the first few posts feel like they are speaking into a void.

Hey all, I own a business that involves many clients that promote their product, art or website with TikTok (also Instagram, Youtube and Facebook). Basically you got pages in a specific theme (sport, anime, cinema, culture, memes...) and you rent it for a specific period of time.
