How to use TikTok with a vpn?

I created a new TikTok account on my desktop with von on and btw I’m a paid user of proton plus and everything seemed fine but it wasn’t letting me follow anyone? And then I didn’t use it anymore and few months later I decided let’s try again and this time it is not letting me like? But it is letting me scroll what is the reason behind it? Should I use another server or Change my protocol or create a new mail any idea and I do not have an old account so I gotta make a new one. What should I do?
