People will never understand how difficult it is to find someone when they’ve gone overboard during high seas. Props to everyone involved in this rescue.

I’m a professional mariner and rescue swimmer for my ships. The chances of recovery after a MOB are less than 10% under ideal conditions.

I don’t want to Monday morning quarterback the crew, because at the end of the day, they got Lynn back safely, but damn…NEVER take your eyes off him if you have them in sight.

You dont understand how terrifying the ocean is until youre there. Even just swimming a bit to far off a beach and getting caught in a riptide will let you know how truly helpless you are to its power. Something like this is insane. The waves the frigid temps, that man is one lucky sob
