Looking for Advice on how to divvy up employee posts (tattoo shop IG page)

I would avoid splitting the profiles by gender. That makes the page harder to use for a potential client who is choosing an artist based on style, subject, availability, or location in the shop.

Since Instagram only gives you three pinned slots, I would treat the pins as navigation rather than trying to make them a complete directory. One could be a compact “meet the team” carousel, one could explain how to choose or book an artist, and the third could rotate between a seasonal feature and a recent portfolio post. Then give each artist their own three-slide carousel and organize those posts into Highlights, with the artist names clearly labeled on the covers.

If you really want the three pinned posts to show everyone, group artists by the kind of work a client is most likely to search for, such as fine line, traditional, color, or lettering. That is more useful than a demographic split, and it still works for artists who do multiple styles if each profile lists their strongest areas.
