TikTok PayLater keeps asking for camera permission

I'm trying to activate tikTok payLater, but when I scan my valid ID, it keeps telling me to enable camera permission. camera permission is already allowed, and the normal tikTok camera works fine.

I already cleared the cache and data, reinstalled the app, and even tried on another phone, but I still get the same problem.

has anyone experienced this? how did you fix it?
