What is wrong with the tiktok comments?

So earlier today I did comment on a video, and the creator replied to it. I could not open their reply on the desctop app, so I opened tiktok on my phone, but there I could not find the reply in my activity, and when I went back to the video, my comment was also not there. What is going on with tiktok these days?
